Utilities steamed about solar Electric utilities are turning up the heat on customers' credits for solar panel use, according to Stateline, a news services of the Pew Charitable Trusts. Solar customers are not paying their fair share for use of the electric grid because of credits that are available, says the Edison Electric Institute. The average residential user's cost for grid service is about half of the customer's total electric bill, the group said, or $60 out of a typical $110 monthly bill.
